Well, I'm home again. My month in Timisoara, Romania has come to an
end. It seems rather short, really.
My thanks to God for an incredibly quick return journey, taking a
whole day less than I had scheduled. Also for preventing me from doing
anything in Romania more serious than bruising my thigh and killing
a van engine.
Thanks to Andrew in England. He almost seems my guardian angel in
that country.
Thanks to the Smith family in Timisoara. I can't say I'm going to
miss the interesting Romanian architecture of their rented house, which
features rooms off rooms rather than rooms off halls. For example there
were seven doors between my bedroom and the dining room. None of them
shut easily. (We treasure the small things, yet take them for granted
so easily.) [But] I really will miss those guys.
Thanks to Casa de Fete (the girls' house), for the ballooning, the
massages, the "seal fat" and much more.
Thanks to Steve and Deb for putting up with so much.
Thanks to all those other Romanians (and foreigners), old and young
who I worked or played with while there. Someone please let the kids
know I had a great time and say sorry to Bobi that I never did spin
him around by his arms.
Of course, the advantage of being away just one month is it means
less Mac withdrawal.
